The Leadership Partnership
For general managers and divisional leaders stepping into enterprise leadership
You lead leaders, often as a general manager, divisional head or direct report to the executive team, and your remit now reaches well beyond your function. Perhaps the role has recently expanded, or you are being prepared for the executive table. This partnership develops the leadership presence and judgement that position asks for, so your leadership carries enterprise weight in every forum you sit in.
The Work
At this level your influence travels mostly through other leaders, and they take their cues from how you hold pressure. The role asks you to turn enterprise strategy into a vision for your part of the organisation that people commit to. We work on the moments that define this layer: holding the line between executive intent and operational reality, and influencing upward and across where you have no formal authority.
The partnership also works with what the role asks of you inwardly. The strengths that built your career, often deep expertise and a drive to deliver, can become what holds you at the functional level. We work with the patterns that surface under pressure and the identity formed around being the one with the answer. The work draws on Self as Instrument and Internal Coherence from the Arc of Leadership Consciousness, with Systemic Seeing widening your view to the system your division sits within.
Structure
Six to nine months, shaped around your live remit. At the outset we agree with you and your sponsor the measures the work will be held to, informed by the views of those you work with most closely. Regular sessions work across your live leadership situations and the inner patterns behind them, with access between sessions, and at the close we review progress against the agreed measures.
